      <Article Num="1">
        <ArticleTitle>Art.1.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>In accordance with the Ministry of Welfare Ordinance No.1, 1947, (Matters concerning the investigation of causes of death of dead bodies whose courses of death are not known the governors of the metropolis, district, urban or rural prefectures shall be authorized to deliver the dead bodies, of which medical examiners finished their postmortem examination and unclaimed even when the investigation of causes of death has been done, to the presidents of medical departments of universities, medical colleges or dental colleges, and heads of medical schools or dental schools (hereinafter referred to as heads of schools) in case they are required for the purpose of advancement of medical knowledge or medical education.</Sentence>

      </Article>
      <Article Num="2">
        <ArticleTitle>Art.2.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The heads of schools who have received the dead bodies according to the provisions of the preceding Art. shall, within 48 hours from the time the medical examiner begins their postmortem examination deliver them to the claimants when they are required.</Sentence>

        </Paragraph>
      </Article>
      <Article Num="3">
        <ArticleTitle>Art.3.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>In case the dead bodies delivered according to the provisions of Art.1 are not required by claimants within the time limit under the preceding Art., the heads of schools may have them dissected or make them specimen.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
      </Article>
      <Article Num="4">
        <ArticleTitle>Art.4.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>In case the successors to the dead persons or other claimants having some relations with them require to deliver the bodies, even after the time limit under Art.2, the heads of schools shall have to deliver the whole of the dead bodies or a part of them to the claimants so far as circumstances permit.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
      </Article>
      <Article Num="5">
        <ArticleTitle>Art.5.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence Function="main" Num="1">With regard to the dead bodies to be delivered to the heads of schools according to the provisions of Art.1, mayors of cities or heads of towns or villages shall have to go through the formalities, without delay, as provided in Act concerning measures toward "Koryo-byonin"  "Koryo-shibonin" but the burial or cremation as provided in Art.7 of the same Act shall be exempted from this rule.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
      </Article>
      <Article Num="6">
        <ArticleTitle>Art.6.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>In handling the dead bodies delivered, the heads of the schools shall be careful not to lose respect.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
      </Article>
      <Article Num="7">
        <ArticleTitle>Art.7.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>With regard to the dead bodies delivered under Art.1 the heads of the schools shall bear expenses caused at the time of delivery and after that towards transportation of the bodies, cremation or setting up graveposts. Irrespective of the provisions of Arts.11 and 13 of the Act concerning measures toward "Koryo-byonin" and "Koryo-shibonin."</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
      </Article>

      <SupplProvisionLabel>Supplementary Provision:</SupplProvisionLabel>
      <Paragraph Num="1">
        <ParagraphNum/>
        <ParagraphSentence>
          <Sentence>The present Law shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.</Sentence>
