I hereby promulgate the Law for the Partial amendments of Law No.11 of 1946 (Law concerning the Exception to the Qualification for Lawyers and Probationary Lawyers). Signed:HIROHITO, Seal of the Emperor This seventeenth day of the ninth month of the twenty second year of Showa (September 17, 1947) Prime Minister KATAYAMA Tetsu Law No.108 Part of Law No.11 of 1946 shall be amended as follows: In Article 1 there shall be inserted the following paragraph: The provision of the preceding paragraph shall apply to those who were in the position of judge or public procurator of Manchukuo after passing the examination mentioned in Article 3 of the Lawyer's Law (in Japan) and qualified through the selection of the Examining Committee of the preceding paragraph: In Article 2 "the preceding Article" shall read "Paragraph 1 of the preceding Article." Supplementary Provisions: The present Law shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation. A person who was qualified as a lawyer after May 3, 1947, in accordance with the provision of Art.1, Par.1, and has been in office of lawyer for 3 years, shall be deemed as completed the study as a judicial apprentice on the very day of expiration of term of 3 years. A person who has the qualification for a lawyer in accordance with the provisions of Art.1, Par.2, shall he deemed as completed the study as judicial apprentice upon obtaining the said qualifications.
