I hereby promulgate the Law concerning the partial amendments of the Special Account Law of Mint. Signed:HIROHITO, Seal of the Emperor This eleventh day of the eighth month of the twenty-second year of Showa (August 11, 1947) Prime Minister KATAYAMA Tetsu Law No.92 A part of Secial Account Law of Mint shall be amended as follows: In Article 1, "income on operation" shall read "operation income" (including income with regard to distribution of precious metals) and next to "operation expenses" shall be added "(including expenses with regard to distribution of precious metals)." Article 2-(2) shall read Article 2-(4).

Article 2-(2). In this account temporary loan may be incurred or accommodation bill may be issued at charge of this account when necessary for the distribution of precious metals. Temporary loan and accommodation bill provided in the preceding paragraph shall be repaid at the latest within the next fiscal year. Limited amount of temporary loan and accommodation bill provided in paragraph 1 shall be approved in the budget by the Diet.

Article 2-(3). Refund and interest of temporary loan or accommodation bill at charge of this account, and amount necessary for disbursement of expenses with regard to issue and repayment of accommodation bill except refund repaid in the current fiscal year, shall be transferred into Special Account of Debt Consolidation Fund every fiscal year.

Article 9. The Cabinet shall formulate the budget of this account every fiscal year and present it to the Diet together with the budget of general account.
