I hereby give My sanction to the Law concerning the partial amendment of the Local Horse Race Law for which the concurrence of the Imperial Diet has been obtained, and cause the same to be promulgated. Signed:HIROHITO, Seal of the Emperor This thirtieth day of the fourth month of the twenty-second year of Showa (April 30, 1947) Countersigned: Prime Minister YOSHIDA Shigeru Minister of Finance ISHIBASHI Tanzan Minister of Agriculture and Forestry KIMURA Kozaemon Law No.88 Partial amendment of the Local Horse Race Law shall be made as follows: In Article 3, "On which the horse race to be held in accordance with this Law" shall read "of the horse race to be held by the Horse Associations provided in Article 1, paragraph 1" and the following proviso shall be added: "But the competent Minister, when he deems it necessary with a view to promoting the development of horse breeding, can make the number of race courses to be within six in Hokkaido, and two in Tokyo Metropolis and two in each prefecture." Supplementary Provision: The present Law shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.
