In Article 26, "A person who has been placed in the peerage shall found a family" shall read: "A person who has assumed the status of a subject shall found a family; or he shall join the family of a direct descendant or brother of his, who has assumed the status of a subject under the provision of the same Article."

Article 27, deleted.

In Article 34, "shall rejoin her parental family" is amended to read "shall assume the status of a subject." &- And to the same Article,a paragraph shall be added as follows: The provision of Article 26 .shall apply mutatis mutandis to a person who has assumed the status of a subject under the provision of the preceding paragraph. This, however, shall not bar the said person from rejoining her parental family. Supplementary Provision: The present Ordinance shall come into effect as from the day of its promulgation.
