I hereby give My Sanction to the Ordinance for Amendments of the Regulations governing the Salaries of the Imperial Household Officials and cause the same to be promulgated. Article 1. The salaries of the Imperial Household Officials to be appointed with the ceremony of installation by the Emperor shall be as follows: Minister of the Imperial Household \2,500 per month Grand Chamberlain President of the Peerage Bureau \2,200 per month

Article 1-2. The salaries of the Imperial Household Officials except those to be appointed with the ceremony of installation by the Emperor shall be paid according to the list as annexed unless otherwise stipulated. Supplementary Provisions: The present Ordinance shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.

As regards the salaries for the Imperial Household Officials remaining outside of Japan Proper (from which Saghalien is excluded, sic passim) at the time when this Ordinance becomes effective,they may not be paid, as decided by the Minister of the Imperial Household, as stated in the annexed list.
