    <MainProvision>
      <Article Num="1">
        <ArticleTitle>Art. 1.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>Allowances prescribed in Law No. 20 of 1946, (hereinafter called simply as the Allowances) shall be paid from the month of their membership.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
      </Article>
      <Article Num="2">
        <ArticleTitle>Art. 2.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence Function="main" Num="1">The Allowances shall be paid at the last decade of each month, but by request of any Member of the Diet (except those who come under Paragraph 3, of Law No. 20 of 1946,) they can be paid pursuant to the provisions of Paragraphs 1, 2 and 3 of Art. 2 of the Payment Regulations of Annual Allowance and Travelling Expences for Speakers, Vice Speakers and Members of the Imperial Diet.</Sentence>

        </Paragraph>
      </Article>
      <Article Num="3">
        <ArticleTitle>Art. 3.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The allowances shall not be paid to those who have not responded to the convocation during the year of Annual Allowance prescribed in Paragraph 1 of Art. 1 of the Payment Regulations of Annual Allowance and Travelling Expenses for Speakers, Vice Speakers and Members of the Imperial Diet.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
      </Article>
      <Article Num="4">
        <ArticleTitle>Art. 4.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>When a member of the Diet who is a Government official retires from the post of Government official, the Allowances prescribed in Paragraph 1 of Law No. 20 of 1946 shall be paid to him from the month following his retirement.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
        <Paragraph Num="2">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>When a member who received the Allowances in accordance with the provisions of Paragraph 3 of Law No. 20 of 1946, retires from the post of Government official the allowances of Paragraph 1 of the same Law shall be paid to him from the month following his retirement.</Sentence>

        </Paragraph>
      </Article>
      <Article Num="5">
        <ArticleTitle>Art. 5.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The allowances prescribed in Paragraph 3 of Law No. 20 of 1946 are as follows:</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
          <Item Num="1">
            <ItemTitle>(1)</ItemTitle>
            <ItemSentence>
              <Sentence>Allowances which are assumed as salary in the provisions of Art. 20 of the Regulations of the Pension Law; (as to the Allowances provided per annum, one-twelfth of that amount.)</Sentence>
            </ItemSentence>
          </Item>
          <Item Num="2">
            <ItemTitle>(2)</ItemTitle>
            <ItemSentence>
              <Sentence>Temporary allowance prescribed in the Imperial Ordinance No. 520 of 1941;</Sentence>
            </ItemSentence>
          </Item>
          <Item Num="3">
            <ItemTitle>(3)</ItemTitle>
            <ItemSentence>
              <Sentence>Long Service Allowance prescribed in the Ordinance for Long Service Allowance';</Sentence>
            </ItemSentence>
          </Item>
          <Item Num="4">
            <ItemTitle>(4)</ItemTitle>
            <ItemSentence>
              <Sentence>High-Price Allowance prescribed in the Ordinance for Temporary High-Price Allowance;</Sentence>
            </ItemSentence>
          </Item>
          <Item Num="5">
            <ItemTitle>(5)</ItemTitle>
            <ItemSentence>
              <Sentence>Temporary Allowance prescribed in the Ordinance for Temporary Allowance.</Sentence>
            </ItemSentence>
          </Item>
        </Paragraph>
      </Article>
      <Article Num="6">
        <ArticleTitle>Art. 6.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>Provisions of Art. 5-8 of the Regulations of Annual Allowance and Travelling Expenses for Speakers, Vice Speakers and Members of the Imperial Diet are applied mutatis mutandis to the Payment of the Allowances besides this regulation.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
      </Article>
    </MainProvision>
    <SupplProvision>
      <SupplProvisionLabel>Supplementary Provision:</SupplProvisionLabel>
      <Paragraph Num="1">
        <ParagraphNum/>
        <ParagraphSentence>
          <Sentence>The present Ordinance shall be applied to the Allowances as from the month of April, 1946.</Sentence>
        </ParagraphSentence>
      </Paragraph>
