Art. 1. Research Institute of Social Science is attached to Tokyo Imperial University.

Art. 2. The said Institute is to be engaged in general studies of social science.

Art. 3. The said Institute has the following personnel: Director Educational Officials of Ministry of Education. Full-time, 1st or 2nd grade: 10 Full-time, 3rd grade: 5 M.E. Secretaries Full-time, 2nd grade: 2 Full-time, 3rd grade: 2

Art. 4. The Director is nominated from among the professors of Tokyo Imperial University who are concurrently educational officials of Ministry of Education. The Director takes charge, under the supervision of the President of the Imperial University, of the affairs of the Research Institute of Social Science.

Supplementary Provision: The present Ordinance shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.
