    <PromulgateStatement>In conformity with the Imperial Ordinance No. 542, 20th of Showa, concerning the Orders to be issued in consequence of the acceptance of Potsdam Declaration, I hereby give My Sanction to the Imperial Ordinance concerning the partial amendment of the Ordinance prohibiting the possession of firearms and other weapons and cause the same to be promulgated.</PromulgateStatement>

          <Sentence>A part of the Ordinance prohibiting the possession of firearms and other weapons is hereby amended as follows:</Sentence>

          <AmendProvisionSentence>
            <Sentence>In Paragraph 2 of the Supplementary Provisions of the Ordinance prohibiting the possession of firearms and other weapons, "two (2) months" shall read "four (4) months."</Sentence>
