    <LawTitle>Organization of the Price Stabilization Committee.</LawTitle>
    <MainProvision>
      <Article Num="1">
        <ArticleTitle>Article 1.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The Price Stabilization Committee shall be subject to the superintendence by the Prime Minister, and investigate and consider the matters which belong to the competence of the Committee in accordance with the provisions of Article 24, of the Price Control Ordinance.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
        <Paragraph Num="2">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The Price Stabilization Committee may propose to the Administrative Office concerned about the matters mentioned in the preceding paragraph.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
      </Article>
      <Article Num="2">
        <ArticleTitle>Article 2.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The Price Stabilization Committee shall be organized of the Central Price Stabilization Committee (hereinafter called the Central Committee) and the Local Price Stabilization Committee (hereinafter called the Local Committee).</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
        <Paragraph Num="2">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The Central Committee shall be instituted in the Cabinet.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
        <Paragraph Num="3">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The Local Committee shall be instituted at every place designated by the Prime Minister and shall be called by the name designated by him.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
      </Article>
      <Article Num="3">
        <ArticleTitle>Article 3.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The Central Committee shall be organized of one president, one vice-president, and not more than thirty members of the Committee.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
        <Paragraph Num="2">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>In addition to the fixed members under the preceding paragraph, temporary members may be appointed, if it is deemed necessary.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
      </Article>
      <Article Num="4">
        <ArticleTitle>Article 4.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The post of the presidency of the Central Committee shall be held concurrently by the Director-General of the price Board.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
        <Paragraph Num="2">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The vice-president, members and temporary members of the Committee shall be appointed by the Cabinet from among the 1st class officials of the governments offices concerned and learned and experienced persons in accordance with the Prime Minister's re-commendation to the Throne.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
      </Article>
      <Article Num="5">
        <ArticleTitle>Article 5.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The Local Committee shall be organized of one president and not more than thirty members of the Committee.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
        <Paragraph Num="2">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>In addition to the fixed members under the preceding paragraph, temporary members may be appointed, if it is deemed necessary.</Sentence>

        </Paragraph>
      </Article>
      <Article Num="6">
        <ArticleTitle>Article 6.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">

          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The president of the Local Committee shall be appointed by the Cabinet from among the 1st class officials of the government offices concerned and learned and experienced persons in accordance with the Prime Minister's recommendation to the Throne.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
      </Article>
      <Article Num="7">
        <ArticleTitle>Article 7.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The president shall preside over the business of the Committee.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
        <Paragraph Num="2">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The vice-president shall assist the president, and act for the latter, in case any obstacle happens to the president.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
        <Paragraph Num="3">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>In case any obstacle happens to the president and vice-president, the members designated by the Prime Minister shall act for them.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
      </Article>
      <Article Num="8">
        <ArticleTitle>Article 8.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The Central Committee may set up the Special Committee in order to investigate the special matters concerned.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
        <Paragraph Num="2">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>Member of the Special Committee shall be appointed by the Cabinet from among learned and experienced persons in accordance with the Prime Minister's recommendation to the Throne.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
      </Article>
      <Article Num="9">
        <ArticleTitle>Article 9.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The Price Stabilization Committee shall set up the chairman and secretaries.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
        <Paragraph Num="2">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The chairman and secretaries shall be appointed by the Cabinet from among the 1st class or 2nd class officials of the government offices concerned and learned and experienced persons in accordance with the Prime Minister's recommendation to the Throne.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
        <Paragraph Num="3">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The chairman and secretaries shall have charge of investigating and planning about matters of the conferences in accordance with the order from higher officers.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
      </Article>
      <Article Num="10">
        <ArticleTitle>Article 10.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The Price Board shall have charge of the general affairs of the Committee.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
      </Article>
    </MainProvision>
    <SupplProvision>
      <SupplProvisionLabel>Supplementary Provision:</SupplProvisionLabel>
      <Paragraph Num="1">
        <ParagraphNum/>
        <ParagraphSentence>
          <Sentence>The present Ordinance shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.</Sentence>
        </ParagraphSentence>
      </Paragraph>
