    <LawTitle>Economic Stabilization Board Order</LawTitle>
    <MainProvision>
      <Article Num="1">
        <ArticleTitle>Article 1.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The Economic Stabilization Board shall, under the jurisdiction of the Prime Minister, be responsible for formulating fundamental policies and plans with reference to urgent measures for economic stabilization to be taken relating to production, distribution and consumption of commodities, and to labor, prices, finance, transportation and other economic matters. The Economic Stabilization Board is further charged with the coordination, adjustment, supervision and promotion of the functions of the various Government Offices concerned.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
        <Paragraph Num="2">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>When necessary for the performance of the functions mentioned in the preceding paragraph the Prime Minister may issue the necessary orders to the Ministers concerned.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
      </Article>
      <Article Num="2">
        <ArticleTitle>Article 2.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The Economic Stabilization Board may set up such divisions as may be designated by the Prime Minister in order to perform those functions outlined in the first paragraph of the preceding article.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
      </Article>
      <Article Num="3">
        <ArticleTitle>Article 3.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The Economic Stabilization Board will have the following officials.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>

              <Sentence>President</Sentence>
            </ListSentence>
          </List>

            <ListSentence>
              <Sentence>Director-General</Sentence>
            </ListSentence>

            <ListSentence>
              <Sentence>Secretaries</Sentence>
            </ListSentence>
          </List>
        </Paragraph>
        <Paragraph Num="2">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>In addition to the officials mentioned in the preceding paragraph, the Economic Stabilization Board will have Division Directors in case Divisions are set up.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
      </Article>
      <Article Num="4">
        <ArticleTitle>Article 4.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The Economic Stabilization Board will have a number of Councillors who will participate in the affairs of the Board.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
        <Paragraph Num="2">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The Councillors shall be appointed from among persons of learning and experience to the Board by the Cabinet upon recommendation of the Prime Minister to the Throne.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
        <Paragraph Num="3">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The Councillors shall maintain strict secrecey concerning information obtained in connection with their duties.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
      </Article>
      <Article Num="5">
        <ArticleTitle>Article 5.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The post of President shall be filled by the Prime Minister</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
        <Paragraph Num="2">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>and he shall be responsible for the action of the Board.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
      </Article>
      <Article Num="6">
        <ArticleTitle>Article 6.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The post of the Director-General shall be filled by a person with the rank of Minister of State</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
        <Paragraph Num="2">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>who shall administer the affairs of the Board.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
      </Article>
      <Article Num="7">
        <ArticleTitle>Article 7.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The Division Directors shall be appointed by the Prime Minister from among the officials of second class and above of the Government Offices concerned and persons of knowledge and experience in their respective fields,</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
        <Paragraph Num="2">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>and shall administer the affairs of their divisions under the direction of the Director-General.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
        <Paragraph Num="3">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The Members of the Economic Stabilization Board shall be appointed by the Prime Minister from among the officials of second class and above of the Government Offices concerned and persons of knowledge and experience in their respective fields</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
        <Paragraph Num="4">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>and shall manage the affairs of the Board under the direction of their superiors.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
      </Article>
      <Article Num="8">
        <ArticleTitle>Article 8.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The Civil Service Ordinance is applicable to the service of those division directors and members of the Economic Stabilization Board who are appointed from among non-officials.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
      </Article>
      <Article Num="9">
        <ArticleTitle>Article 9.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The Secretaries of the Economic Stabilization Board shall be appointed by the Prime Minister from armong officials of the Government Offices concerned.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
      </Article>
      <Article Num="10">
        <ArticleTitle>Article 10.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The Economic Stabilization Council shall be established in the Economic Stabilization Board to deliberate upon important matters pertaining to urgent measures for economic stabilization.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
        <Paragraph Num="2">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The Prime Minister shall determine the necessary matters regarding the Economic Stabilization Council.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
      </Article>
      <Article Num="11">
        <ArticleTitle>Article 11.</ArticleTitle>
        <Paragraph Num="1">
          <ParagraphNum/>
          <ParagraphSentence>
            <Sentence>The Prime Minister shall determine the necessary matters regarding the Economic Stabilization Board other than those provided in the present Ordinance.</Sentence>
          </ParagraphSentence>
        </Paragraph>
      </Article>
    </MainProvision>
    <SupplProvision>
      <SupplProvisionLabel>Supplementary Rule:</SupplProvisionLabel>
      <Paragraph Num="1">
        <ParagraphNum/>
        <ParagraphSentence>
          <Sentence>The present Ordinance shall take effect as from the day of its promulgation.</Sentence>
        </ParagraphSentence>
      </Paragraph>
      <Paragraph Num="2">
        <ParagraphNum/>
        <ParagraphSentence>
          <Sentence>The present Ordinance shall be in effect for a period of one year as from the date of enforcement.</Sentence>
