I hereby give My Sanction to the Ordinance concerning the partial amendments of the "Poisonous Comestibles, etc., Control Ordinance" under the Imperial Ordinance No. 542 of the 20th year of Showa (1945) concerning the Orders to be issued in consequence of the acceptance of the Potsdam Declaration and cause the same to be promulgated. Signed: HIROHITO, Seal of the Emperor This seventeenth day of the sixth month of the twenty-first year of Showa (June 17, 1946) Countersigned: Prime Minister YOSHIDA Shigeru Minister of Welfare KAWAI Yoshinari Imperial Ordinance No. 325 Part of Poisonous Comestibles, etc., Control Ordinance shall be amended as follows: In Article 1, Paragraph 1, next to "comestibles" shall be added the following: "Of one cubic centimetre that which contains metanol less than one milligram is excepted." Next to Article 4, Paragraph 1, shall be added the following as the latter part: "It shall be all the same with those persons who violated the said provisions by mistake." Next to the above-mentioned Article shall be added the following Paragraph: "The provisions of Article 66 of Criminal Law shall not be applied to those persons who committed the crime of Paragraph 1." Supplementary Provision: This Imperial Ordinance shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.
