We hereby give Our sanction to the amendments of the Imperial Ordinance No. 61 of the twenty-first year of Meiji (1888) concerning the Grant out of the National Treasury for the Police Expenditure and cause the same to be promulgated.

Imperial Ordinance No. 255
The Imperial Ordinance No. 61 of the twenty-first year of Meiji (1888) are hereby amended as follows:
Article 1.
The police expenditure and the construction and repairing expenditure of the police office which are to be defrayed by the Local Expenditure of Hokkaido and by the expenditure of Tokyo-to and other prefectures shall be granted sixty per cent. of the grand total thereof by the National Treasury.
Supplementary provisions:
The present Ordinance shall come into force from the fiscal year of the 21st of Showa (1946)
The following Ordinances are hereby abrogated:
The Imperial Ordinance No. 265 of the 11th year of Taisho (1922)
The Imperial Ordinance No. 521 of the 16th year of Showa (1941)
