We sanction the amendments to be made in the Imperial Ordinance relative to the system of official organization Ministry of Transportation and two other items and hereby promulgate it.

Imperial Ordinance No. 238
Article I.
The system of official organization of the Ministry of Transportation shall be amended as follows:
"
34 in full-time employment,
2,113 in full-time employment,
68,949 in full-time : employment
" in Article XVIII shall be changed to "
35 in full-time employment,
2,442 in full-time employment,
83,225 in full-time employment
Article II
The official organization system relating to the railway training school shall be amended as follows:
"
83 in full-time employment,
1,390 in full-time employment
, in Clause 1 of Article III shall be changed to "
88 in full-time employment,
1,517 in full-time employment
"
In regard to the items provided by the Minister of Transportation, under the instructions of the director of the railway division who exercises jurisdiction over the locality of the railway training school concerned," shall be inserted after the words "under the instructions of....." appearing in Article IV.
Article III.
The following amendments shall be made in the official organization system relating to the Railway Technical Research Institute:
"
43 in full-time employment;
285 in full-time employment
" shall be changed to "
67 in full-time employment;
445 in full-time employment
" and "32 in full-time employment " to " 50 in full-time employment "
Supplementary Provisions:
This Imperial Ordinance shall come into force from the day of its promulgation.
In so far as secretaries (jimukan) or technical officials (gikan) of the Ministry of Transportation are concerned, the regular personnel thereof in full-time employment shall be 83,161 until the 30th of September, 1946, irrespective of the amended provisions of Article XVIII of the Imperial Ordinance for the official organization system of the Ministry of Transportation.
