I hereby give My Sanction to the Law pertaining to the invalidating of Imperial Grant National Bonds conferred upon those other than military personnel and military civilian employees, for which the concurrence of the Imperial Diet has been obtained, and cause the same to be promulgated. Signed:HIROHITO, Seal of the Emperor This twenty-third day of the seventh month of the twenty-first year of Showa (July 23, 1946) Countersigned: Prime Minister YOSHIDA Shigeru Minister of Finance ISHIBASHI Tanzan Law No.4 Public Bonds (including coupons with the date of payment after April 1, 1946) issued in accordance with the stipulation of Article 1 of the Law No.69 of the fifteenth year of Showa (1940) pertaining to the issuance of Public Bonds to be conferred as a single sum grant for the War, and conferred upon those other than military personnel and military civilian employees are to be null and void, provided that those bonds already purchased by the Government remain volid. The scope of military civilian employees referred to in the preceding paragraph is as stipulated in the order issued in consequence of the provisions of Paragraph 2 of Article 1 of the Imperial Ordinance No.112 pertaining to the invalidating of Imperial Grant National Bonds conferred upon military personnel and military civilian employees. Supplementary Provision: The present Law shall come into force as from the day of its promulgation.
